Moldovan entrepreneurs trained on how to launch and manage a business, with EU support

About 100 aspiring entrepreneurs from central regions of Moldova participated in a three-day training course for start-up entrepreneurs held in Orhei, from 10 to 12 February.

The event was organised by the EU-funded project ‘Moldova is Europe – Support for EU Integration’, in partnership with the Ministry of Finance, the State Tax Service, the Customs Service, and the platform Monitorul Fiscal FISC.md.

Participants from Orhei, Telenesti, Criuleni, Singerei and Rezina learned how to register a company, navigate public procurement procedures, comply with tax and social contribution requirements, and handle import and export operations. The training also addressed everyday challenges that entrepreneurs face, including labour legislation, workplace safety, taxes, accounting, and effective business communication.

The training in Orhei marked the fifth round of the Start-Up Entrepreneurs Programme, launched in 2025, which has already trained over 450 participants nationwide. It is part of a series of sessions taking place across six regions of Moldova in 2026.

Upcoming training sessions will be held in Căușeni, Edineț, Ungheni, and Comrat between April and August 2026.
