The regional project, commissioned by the European Commission (EC) and undertaken by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), aims to facilitate the transition and foster sustainable and equitable economic growth models in the Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries.

The "EU4Business: Connecting Companies" project seeks to boost trade between EU Member States and the six Eastern Partner countries, prioritizing five sectors with high potential for SME export expansion: Organic Food, Creative Industries, Textiles, Tourism, and Wine-making.

The project provides an online portal for accessing regional trade information, conduct surveys on trade barriers, and offer training to enhance the collection and analysis of trade data.

Specific objectives 3 and 4 are relevant to EU4Business: 3. To create employment opportunities for men and women in the focal regions and improve the attractiveness of the pilot regions for investors and entrepreneurs, 4. To promote the smart specialisation of the economy of the focal regions through the development of the clustering and value chain approach in key economic sectors.
